MS Vista -vs- Ubuntu(Edgy-Eft)

I just read this awesome article comparing Vista with Ubuntu Edgy-Eft at Re-Cycledair.com. I am only throwing in my 2 cents on this issue, as I believe the original post is excellent and there isn’t any need for another similar article. I personally have always been a user of Microsoft, though not always a fan. Linux was the route I wanted to take, but I just didn’t have the time required to make everything work as I needed it to. The Perfect Desktop - Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft

Falko Timme provides one of the best articles dealing with switching to Ubuntu that I have ever seen. If I were not already an avide fan of Ubuntu, I would be looking to switch after reading this. Falko provides great screenshots to help you along the way.

With the release of Microsoft’s new Windows operating system (Vista), more and more people are looking for alternatives to Windows for various reasons. This tutorial is the third in a series of articles where I will show people who are willing to switch to Linux how they can set up a Linux desktop (Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft in this article) that fully replaces their Windows desktop, i.e. that has all software that people need to do the things they do on their Windows desktops.
